FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The method for producing kartolin-2 includes the primary interaction of a two-fold excess of ethanolamine with an acylating agent in an anhydrous organic solvent in an inert gas atmosphere or in air without access to moisture, leading to the generation of oxycarbam in a solution of an anhydrous organic solvent, followed by the use of this solution, without isolating oxycarbam into individually, in reaction with 4-chlorophenyl isocyanate to obtain the target product, its isolation and purification.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a high-quality target product with a yield of 77-83% with the possibility of regenerating the used solvent with its partial return to the process.
