FIELD: rare-earth elements.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the treatment of concentrates of ores of rare-earth elements. The rare earth ore concentrate is mixed with concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain a mixture in the form of a slurry and the first fluorine-containing gas. The resulting slurry is mixed with an initiator liquid to react between the rare-earth ore concentrate and concentrated sulfuric acid to result in clinker and a second fluorinated gas. Thereafter, the clinker is leached with water, resulting in a leached suspension. The leached slurry is separated into solid and liquid phases, resulting in a filtrate and leached slag. The leached slag is recycled for re-reaction between the rare-earth ore concentrate and concentrated sulfuric acid.
EFFECT: inventions increase the degree of opening of the concentrate of rare-earth elements with low energy consumption and a continuous production cycle.
