SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology by which in a building material for an interior, which is represented by a gypsum panel to which a magnet is not attracted, the surface can be modified so that the magnet can be attracted to the surface by simple means that can be put into practice. The technical result is the formation of a wall surface or a similar structural element on which it will be possible to use a magnetic sheet and a retainer with a magnet as a substitute for a pushpin. In this way, a building material for the interior can be obtained, in which the efficiency of use in construction is realized, so that this material can be easily cut with a knife-cutter. The technical result is achieved in that the building material for the interior contains multiple magnetic elements in the form of a sheet, attached to at least a part of the front surface and/or the reverse surface of the base material of the plate-like shape, to which a magnet cannot be attracted, and the base material is an element made of gypsum, and of the multiple magnetic elements, adjacent magnetic elements are arranged in such a way that they touch each other, in this case, the building material for the interior is designed to receive a knife-cutter blade introduced between at least two adjacent contacting magnetic elements by bending the building material for the interior so that the side on which the multiple magnetic elements are fixed becomes convex.

EFFECT: technical result is the formation of a wall surface or a similar structural element on which it will be possible to use a magnetic sheet and a retainer with a magnet as a substitute for a pushpin.
