FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of experimental technology for the study of hydrodynamic processes of oil spreading-out under ice conditions and can be used in the creation of low-volume experimental pools for the study and analysis of the dynamics of oil spill propagation in freezing water areas and water streams in a direct flow of liquid in a wide range of velocities and temperatures. The technical result consists in improving the quality of simulation experiments by ensuring a uniform and consistent flow velocity over the entire section in a wide range of velocities and temperatures under research, and cutting down on the economic, time and labor costs of preparing the pool for the research simulation. The technical result is achieved by the experimental pool for simulating emergency oil spills under ice conditions containing a rectangular in plan bowl made cross-sectionally in the form of an oval element with a volume being filled with liquid, a water tank, a pump, a flow straightener, a confuser and a diffuser, and an ice holder, while the lower plane of the simulation ice, installed in the holder, coincides with the surface of the water poured into the pool bowlб on the longitudinal walls of the bowl from its upper generatrix to a height equal to the height of the pool bowl, a rough self-adhesive film is applied, providing a uniform and consistent speed flow over the entire section of the measuring zone, while the diffuser and confuser are equipped with perforated nozzles, which are rectangular in plan.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving quality of simulation experiments by ensuring a uniform and consistent flow velocity over the entire section in a wide range of velocities and temperatures under research, and cutting down on the economic, time and labor costs of preparing the pool for the research simulation.
