FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises decreasing the air temperature to minus 10 degrees Centigrade. Basin bowl with overcooled salt water is sown with ice crystallization centres by spraying of sweet water from atomizer in amount of about 0.1 kg per surface square metre from uniformly moving truck for 1-2 minutes. Then, some time is waited for unless solid ply of thin ice is formed. Thereafter, basin air temperature is regulated in definite mode depending upon required depth and strength of ice cover. Proposed device comprises closed premise with cooling and vent system, basin bowl filled with overcooled salt water and towing rail-rolling truck. Said truck carries atomizer that can adjust ice crystallization centre sizes.
EFFECT: ice cover with preset strength.
