FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the chemical and food industries, in medicine and microbiology. To synthesise potassium monophosphate, ammophos is treated with potassium hydroxide in a water medium at a temperature of 95 to 105°C. Dry ammophos is hydrated at a flow rate of 440 to 450 kg/t of ammophos relative to 100% KOH with a 20 to 22% potassium hydroxide solution for 90 to 120 minutes until the ammonia is completely removed from the system. The resulting mixture is filtered, the separated solution is sent to produce potassium monophosphate by evaporating it to dry salts or to a crystal. The wet unwashed residue is repulped with water for 20 to 30 minutes at a temperature of 70-80°C. The resulting pulp is filtered to separate the liquid phase. The residue on the filter is washed with water from mother moisture and dried at a temperature of 105 to 110ºC. The filtrate and the wash water are combined and sent to prepare a potassium hydroxide solution.
EFFECT: invention allows simplifying the manufacturing process and increasing productivity thereof by reducing the performance time, increasing the extraction of P2O5 from ammophos into a commercial product, reducing the fluorine content in the product to a standard content for the food, medical and microbiological industries.
