FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the double-flow production of wire rod and billet. Continuous casting of billet is carried out on a continuous billet casting machine with a two-stand straightening-pulling unit, consisting of successively installed first vertical and second horizontal rolling stands. The cast billet in a two-phase state is subjected to successively soft horizontal and vertical compression in a two-stand correct-pulling block, at the exit from which the formed billet of square section during its in-line production is sent to a discharge roller table with cut-to-size shears and a refrigerator, and when in-line production of wire rod is formed damping arc of the workpiece. After rolling, the finished wire rod is subjected to sorbitization by accelerated cooling before being coiled into a coil.
EFFECT: technological capabilities are expanding.
