FIELD: metallurgy; ferrous.
SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to the technology of manufacture of commercial products from continuously cast sections. The method involves obtaining melt from scrap metal or metal chips using an induction furnace, pouring the melt into an arc furnace for producing steel, ladle treatment of the steel, and subsequent pouring of the steel at a continuous casting machine with a replaceable crystalliser into a cut-to-length square and/or round section. The continuously cast section is rolled. As the melting stock for the induction furnace, scrap metal, metal chips, or scrap metal or metal chips bales are used. Up to 40-60% of steel chips or scale is poured on the arc furnace bottom before pouring in the melt. The method provides broad assortment of products: long rolled products in 17-75 mm diameter rods, 25x25-40x40 mm section angle bars, channel NN 5-6.5, 5.5-14 mm diameter wire rod.
EFFECT: provision of broad assortment of products.
