FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to methods for restoring current distorted due to saturation of a current transformer. The proposed method consists of two stages of transformations: extracting the information contained in the current at the saturation interval at the first stage, and adding it to the information contained in the two counts of the current of the correct transformation at the second stage. Thus, the counts are processed by two groups. In addition to the three current counts, three counts of its derivative are determined. The counts of the current, its derivative and reference signals are processed together and the resulting end signal of the second interval is obtained. Two current counts at the first interval, together with the previously found terminal signal, determine the law of change of the undistorted current.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at expanding the functionality of the method for restoring the distorted current.
