FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of separation of heterogeneous media, namely suspensions, resulting in sludge as a target product, and can be used in the coal mining, coal and chemical, mining, food, chemical industries in waste water treatment. After the stage of primary settling, natural calcium carbonate crushed to a size of no more than 20 mcm is introduced into the waste water in the amount of 10 to 70 g/m3. Biological treatment and secondary settling are then conducted resulting in sludge.
EFFECT: method ensures increased efficiency of the municipal waste water decontamination process and improved quality of the sludge formed in the process of water treatment for further processing, utilization and possible use thereof in various areas of the national economy.
