SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and method for manufacturing a bitumen based membrane with a surface coating of fine-grained decorative elements. The system includes a device for moving the formed membrane in the feed direction, a device for applying grains, including a rotating applying drum equipped with cavities that are designed to receive grains in the loading area of the specified drum, a device for loading grains, designed to load grains into cavities in the loading area of the drum, a device for holding grains made of sintered polymer material. The grain loading device includes a hopper having an opening for discharging the grains on the application drum. And the hole in the hopper and the device for holding the grains are placed in mutually opposite sides relative to the plane of the vertical center line of the applying drum.
EFFECT: invention provides convenient dosing and precise grain distribution on the membrane.
