FIELD: robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of robotics and can be used for mechanisation and automation of movement of a mobile robot comprising a mobile platform with a body whereon an arm with a gripping apparatus, an omnidirectional mobile wheel-type mechanism and an electronically controlled transport suspension adjustable by height are installed, in an automatic operating mode thereof in a warehouse wherein a shelved stand is installed. The method includes moving the mobile robot to the shelf on the upper tier of the stand by executing a jump of the mobile robot followed by gripping the holder installed on the upper tier of the stand by the gripping apparatus of the arm in flight, and by further placing the mobile robot on the shelf on the upper tier of the stand by actuating the drives of the rotary joints installed in the arm of the mobile robot. The jump of the mobile robot therein is executed by lifting the mobile platform of the mobile robot using said transport suspension to the height of the shelf on the upper tier of the stand exceeding the sum of the three values including the height of the body of the mobile platform, the length of the arm of the mobile robot with the gripping apparatus and the maximum distance at which simultaneous positioning of centers of all the wheels of the mobile platform from the lower surface of the bottom of the mobile platform is possible.
EFFECT: mechanisation and automation of movement of a mobile robot.
