SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sanitary and hygienic equipment in railway transport, in particular to toilet systems. The gray water purification system of a rail vehicle contains a washstand (5), a retention basin (7) for receiving gray water from a washstand (5), technologically connected to each other through a supply line (4), a gray water treatment unit (17) connected by a supply line to a toilet module for the reuse of gray water. The retention basin (7) is located under the washbasin of the washstand (5) and is equipped with a unit (8) for preliminary physical and chemical treatment of gray water. An ultraviolet disinfection unit (30) is installed in the supply line in front of the toilet module and the gray water treatment unit (17). The gray water treatment unit (17) and the ultraviolet disinfection unit (30) are located in the upper part of the sanitary facility.

EFFECT: invention increases the efficiency of gray water disinfection for its possible reuse and reduces the overall dimensions of the equipment to ensure the placement of gray water purification units in the toilet room of a railway vehicle.
