SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hair-sparing agent for oxidative hair dyeing or bleaching, as well as a gentle method of oxidative hair dyeing or bleaching, in which keratin fibers protect against oxidative effects. Described is an oxidizing dye or bleaching agent for keratin fibers, in particular for human hair, containing: a) at least one saturated dicarboxylic acid with a number of carbon atoms from 2 to 10, selected from succinic acid and malic acid, and/or at least one salt of the specified acid (s); b) a mixture of arginine and lysine or at least one salt of the said amino acids; c) also at least one alkalizing agent selected from ammonium hydroxide, monoethanolamine and sodium silicates, and mixtures thereof; d) optionally at least one oxidation dye precursor and / or at least one direct dye; e) water; f) at least one peroxide compound, characterized in that at least one saturated dicarboxylic acid with the number of carbon atoms from 2 to 10 is contained in a total amount of from 0.5 to 4 wt %, based on the undissociated dicarboxylic acid and based on weight of a coloring or bleaching agent, also characterized in that at least one amino acid of Formula (VI) is contained in a total amount of 0.2 to 3% by weight, based on the non-dissociated amino acid and based on the weight of the coloring or bleaching agent.
