SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fittings (1) for actuating a mechanism in a door or window, containing handle (10) mounted on or in limiting element (20) with the possibility of rotation around rotation axis (D), wherein limiting element (20) is made with the possibility to be fixed to the door or window, polyhedral rod (40) for actuating the mechanism in the door or window, connecting element (50) for connecting handle (10) with polyhedral rod (20), and locking device (70), locking actuation of polyhedral rod (40) around rotation axis (D) in locked position (A), while locking device (70) is made with the possibility to be transferred to unlocked position (B) by axially actuating the handle from the first position of the handle to the second position of the handle along rotation axis (D). In order to provide increased protection against unauthorized actuation of fittings or a mechanism connected to the fittings in a window or door, and to obtain fittings that are easy to use and economical to manufacture, it is provided that in the first position of the handle, handle (10) is disconnected from polyhedral rod (40), wherein locking device (70) is in locked position (A), and in the second position of the handle, connecting element (50) connects handle (10) to polyhedral rod (40) and holds locking device (70) in unlocked position (B).

EFFECT: when the second position of the handle is reached, the handle connects to the polyhedral rod and unlocks it to activate the mechanism.
