FIELD: paint and varnish coatings.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for applying a paint and varnish coating to a glass product. The method consists in the fact that a shaped shrink film is glued on the product, which protects the product from the applied coating, while remaining unchanged until the temperature effect due to the properties of the applied shrink film. Then, at least one coating is applied to the product, completely or partially covering the shaped shrink film. After applying the coating, or after fixing the coating, the entire product or the area with the shaped shrink film is heated until it is compressed in one or more directions until the adhesive layer of the glue is deformed under the action of shrink stresses and the shaped shrink film is freely separated.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create smooth transparent windows on the product in the paint coating of the product, as well as to increase the productivity of obtaining paint and varnish coatings on a glass product with an unpainted area.
