SUBSTANCE: assault rifle is comprised of the main parts of the Kalashnikov assault rifle, under the lever of the safety switch/fire selector a mantlet of the rear half of a groove is located, made with even smooth surfaces in form of a copy of the lever made of the same material and of the same thickness. The end of the mantlet is made with a lug in form of a part of the plane thereof bent perpendicularly with a hole in the middle, a wire spring loop is inserted into the lug hole, the opposite end whereof is fixed in the receiver wall. The spring is configured to push the mantlet upwards, wherein the mantlet is located on one axis with the lever configured to rotate angularly independently from the lever.

EFFECT: ensured cleanliness of the parts of the receiver, increased firing accuracy, extended service life, eliminated possibility of the rifle breech jamming on impact from a blast wave with a shatter of metal fragments, pebbles, earth and sand.
