SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biology and experimental medicine, namely experimental cardiology, and can be used to study the pathogenesis and morphogenesis of the early stages of myocardial infarction. A method for simulating an acute myocardial infarction in animals includes creating a focus of ischemic damage in the heart of adult rats aged 6-18 months. In this case, the ischemic effect is carried out by local introduction into the myocardium of the sclerosing drug ethoxysclerol 1.5% - 0.25 ml under general anesthesia using an atraumatic needle with a silicone coating.

EFFECT: allows to simulate acute myocardial infarction with minimal invasive effects on the animal's body. The invention provides low mortality of animals, simplicity and short operation time.
