METHOD FOR SIMULATING FOCAL NECROSES OF MYOCARDIUM Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: experimental medicine; predominantly cardiology, pathophysiology; pathoanatomy. SUBSTANCE: focal necroses of myocardium are simulated in test rats affected with spontaneous arterial hypertension along Okamoto-Yamori line by subjecting rats to effect of intermittent acoustic stimulus, structure of which prevents off-scale inhibition under immobilization conditions. Rats are subjected to simulation for 2-hour periods during two days. Method can be used for study of patho- and morphogenesis at early stages of myocardial infarction, and for developing new methods for therapeutic treatment of heart's ischemic disease. EFFECT: neither pharmaceutical preparations, nor surgical intervention are required to simulate myocardial necroses by proposed method, as distinct from similar prior-art methods.
