METHOD OF MODELING MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION IN RATS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G09B23/28

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: for modeling of myocardial infarction in rats skin of chest is cut and muscles are exposed. Chest muscles are separated with uncovering of costal margin and intercostal muscles. Cutting of intercostal muscles in 4-5 intercostal space along 1 cm is performed. Heart is visualised; is carried out coagulation of left coronary artery twigs in its middle or lower third. Coagulation of branches of left coronary artery in its medium or lower third is carried out. Coagulation is performed with L-shaped instrument with burning surface with sizes 2.5×3.0 mm, which is heated on alcohol lamp. Thoracotomy wound is sewn with continuous suture by means of atraumatic needle, syringe with needle is used to eliminate pneumothorax, skin is sutured.

EFFECT: increase of probability of obtaining positive result with minimal work hours in case of minimisation of operation time and large time of experiment itself.
