FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a membrane oxygenator containing a cylindrical body with a gas chamber consisting of two composite hollow-fiber membranes arranged in the form of spiral plates. The body of the oxygenator is divided by membranes into gas and blood compartments, equipped with inlet and outlet fittings. The surface of the membranes on the side of the blood compartment has an additional coating of polyperfluoro(2-methyl-2-ethyldioxol-1,3), which forms a selective gas separation layer up to 10 microns thick designed to transfer gas molecules. The smooth surface is designed to prevent the occurrence of blood flow turbulence and the formation of stagnant zones. The membrane oxygenator is designed to reduce the volume of blood in the oxygenator to 200 ml.
EFFECT: improving the performance of the device, reducing the size.
