FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of welding. The TIG welding torch comprises a torch body, a collet to hold the tungsten electrode, and a back cover through which the collet can be pulled back when the screw thread is tightened to close the collet and hold the tungsten electrode, while a key connection is located between the collet and the torch body to prevent the collet from rotating relative to the torch body. In one embodiment, the torch body can be covered with a resilient material, and the back cover includes a tapered front part for joining and sealing with the torch body by resilient molding. In another embodiment, the torch may further comprise a ceramic nozzle and a separating heat-insulating gasket, which is attached at its rear end to the metal front part of the torch, which contains a thermal break in the form of a cavity or a channel for cooling.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves the reliability and durability of the torch.
