FIELD: personal protective equipment.

SUBSTANCE: filter element contains at least one filtering layer with carbon nanotubes in an amount of at least 2 grams per 1 m2 of layer, in which more than 90 wt.% of carbon nanotubes are single-walled and/or double-walled, and more than 90 wt.% of carbon nanotubes are in the composition of agglomerates. The invention provides a medical mask and respirator including specified filter element.

EFFECT: invention allows retaining 60 to 300 nm particles with an efficiency of at least 99% (breakthrough less than 10-2), the pressure drop at which is less than 3 kPa at a linear flow rate of 27 cm/s.
