FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of a modifier for preparing composite materials based on thermoplastic polymers containing carbon, glass or basalt fibers and carbon nanotubes (versions), as well as to methods of obtaining it, and to obtain a composite material containing the obtained modifier. In one version, the modifier is obtained by mixing thermoplastic polymer (7–15 wt%) with solvent (70–94 wt%) and alkali metal salts (3–15 wt%) until complete dissolution of the polymer. Further, nanotubes are added into the mixture in amount of up to 5 wt%. Coagulant is added to the produced dispersion while stirring. Dispersion is filtered, the precipitate is washed and dried. According to other versions, a modifier for a polyamide-based composite is prepared. Nanotubes are mixed with caprolactam. Dispersion is heated, possibly treated with ultrasound, a caprolactam polymerization catalyst, a polymerization activator, heating and drying are added. To produce composite material thermoplastic material is mixed with fibers and modifier containing carbon nanotubes in amount of 5 to 33 wt%.

EFFECT: invention solves problem of creation of high-strength composite material.
