SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous dispersions of single-walled and/or double-walled carbon nanotubes and their agglomerates, to methods for their preparation, to the use of such dispersions for the preparation of electrode pastes, to electrode pastes, to electrodes of lithium-ion batteries, and to methods for manufacturing electrodes of lithium-ion batteries. The dispersion contains water, a gelling agent and 0.3 to 2 wt. % of single-walled and/or double-walled carbon nanotubes with a mass ratio of single-walled and/or double-walled carbon nanotubes to gelling agent not less than 0.05 and not more than 10, while the dispersion contains gel particles formed by agglomerates of gelling molecules, physically connected into a network of weak gel by single-walled and/or double-walled carbon nanotubes.

EFFECT: high stability during storage and transportation and at the same time low viscosity under various technological processes using aqueous dispersion, preparation of electrode pastes and then electrodes of a lithium-ion battery.
