FIELD: vehicle heating devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heating devices for a vehicle. An automotive heater includes a burner assembly (12) and a heat exchanger assembly (14). The structural group (12) of the burner includes a combustion chamber (18), which must be supplied with air (V) required for combustion, and fuel (B) and exhausting products (A) of combustion from the combustion chamber (18) extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L) flame tube (24). The structural group (14) of the heat exchanger includes an inner housing (28) of a heat exchanger with an inner peripheral wall (30) extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L), as well as an outer body (34) of a heat exchanger with an outer peripheral wall (36). Between the inner casing (28) of the heat exchanger and the outer casing (34) of the heat exchanger, a space (40) is formed for the flow of the heat transfer medium. Between the inner peripheral wall (30) and the flame tube (24), there is a space (44) open to the exhaust for combustion products for the return flow of combustion products. A catalytic converter (52) is provided in the space (44) for the return flow of combustion products, through which the combustion products (A) can pass. In conjunction with the catalytic converter (52), an electrically energized heating unit (58) is provided and/or that on the outer casing (34) of the heat exchanger, on its outer side (62) facing away from the space (40) for the flow of the heat transfer medium, an overlapping insulating material (64).

EFFECT: compact design for efficient operation with low emission of harmful substances is achieved.
