FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to providing information about a directed radio frequency beam for one or more radio frequency beams in a mobile communication system. The method includes receiving, with signals transmitted from a base station via a directed beam, an identifier for distinguishing the directed beam from other directed beams, and transmitting a message containing information about the received identifier of the directed beam to the first base station. The method is characterized by the received identifier being encoded in signals transmitted by the base station at the physical level constituting the lowest level for communication between the base station and the user apparatus according to a multi-level model known as the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model.
EFFECT: increased capacity during data transmission.
