FIELD: controlling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for controlling speeds for road vehicles. The system includes a computer control point, a system for real-time vehicle positioning, and a system for two-way data transmission between the vehicle and the computer control point. When a vehicle enters the operating area of the system, a connection is established between the control point and the vehicle. The system remotely controls the speed of the vehicle within the limits defined by the driver. The driver therein controls the path and the maximum speed of the vehicle.
EFFECT: increased traffic safety and, as a result, increased throughput capacity of the road section in the operating area of the system are achieved.
