FIELD: traffic control devices.

SUBSTANCE: innovation relates to the field of vehicular traffic control (VTC) at cross-roads; the sets of traffic lights (14-16) are installed in front of the cross-road; when the red light (K1) of the set traffic lights (10) is on the sets of the traffic lights (14) and (16) produce the red light while the set of traffic lights (15) and the needle indicators (18, 19) produce green lights; as a result the sets of traffic lights (14) and (16) collects the groups of vehicles with the drivers intending to pass through the cross-roads to the left and right; at the same time on the road section (1) located between the additional sets of traffic lights (14-16) and the set of traffic lights (10) the biggest group of vehicles is formed on the free lanes (3-5), the drivers of the above vehicles intend go through the cross-roads straight; the priority of passage is given to the biggest group of vehicles wherefore the red light (К2) is switched on for the highway (2) vehicles and the green one (З1) for the highway (1); the vehicles on the lanes (3-5) will pass the cross roads straight; after awhile the green light of the set of traffic lights (14, 16) is on, the green light of needle indicators (18, 19) is off, the smaller groups of vehicles intending to turn right or left start moving; then the red light (K1) of the traffic light (10) for the highway (1) and the green needle indicators (11, 12) are on; the vehicles move on the lane (4) while the drivers turn left and right from the lanes (3,5).

EFFECT: enhancement of the crossing efficiency and reduction of harmful emissions to the atmosphere.
