METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE LEVEL OF THE FUNCTIONAL SPINAL UNIT IN SPINAL OPERATIONS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/70 A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2751279 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used for marking the level of surgical intervention in spinal surgery. A mixture of a contrast medium and a biodegradable glue is used as a marking agent. A puncture needle without an agent is inserted into soft tissues along the lateral edge of the spinous process of the vertebra to the vertebral arch. The marking preparation is introduced through the needle while gradually extracting the needle from the soft tissues. The agent is administered at a volume sufficient for formation of an X-ray positive label visualised by the X-ray equipment. A spinal puncture needle with a 22G mandrel is used as a puncture needle. 1 part of biodegradable glue and 1 part of a contrast medium are used to prepare the mixture. Iohexol is used as a contrast medium. 1 ml n-butyl-2-cyanocrylate is used as a biodegradable glue. 1 ml of a marking agent is introduced to patients with a body mass index (BMI) of up to 25, 2 ml to patients with a BMI of more than 25. The mixture is introduced for at least 5 seconds.

EFFECT: method ensures accuracy of performance and safety thereof for the patient due to the aspects of introduction.
