SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reaction-distillation system for carrying out a chemical reaction of dehydration of alcohols or esterification of olefins with alcohols to obtain ethers, consisting of a reaction-distillation column, including: a) at least one feed point for supplying starting reagents; b) at least two rectification zones separated by at least one reaction zone containing a solid catalyst; c) at least one point of selection of the reaction products; d) at least one contact channel connecting two rectification zones, separated by at least one reaction zone, passing as a by-pass through this reaction zone; e) at least one dividing wall, the contact channel being part of the dividing wall and allowing liquid to flow from an upstream rectification zone into a downstream rectification zone, bypassing the reaction zone; in this case: f) the contact channel unilaterally passes only the liquid flow from the upstream rectification zone to the downstream rectification zone; g) the movement of the reaction mixture through the catalyst in at least one reaction zone is carried out in a co-directional flow; h) a vapor stream that does not pass through the contact channel enters the reaction zone.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to carry out a chemical reaction of dehydration of alcohols or esterification of olefins with alcohols to obtain ethers.
