FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless communications, in particular to identifying reference signal resources to be used in transmission by a wireless device. According to the present invention, the method includes receiving, by a wireless device, signaling configuring a wireless device with a set of reference signal resource groups. Each group has a set of reference signal resources. The wireless device then receives an indication via the control channel to select the reference signal resources to be used. Each of the set of reference signal resources to be used is selected from a different one of the set of reference signal resource groups, so that the reference signal resources belonging to the same reference signal resource group are not selected for simultaneous use. The reference signal is then transmitted to a network node in the network using the specified selection of reference signal resources.
EFFECT: reducing the overhead of the downlink control channel for signaling the resource indicator of the reference signal.
