FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks. The embodiments include methods performed by a network node to configure PUCCH resources used to communicate with a UE in a wireless network. The embodiments include sending one or more control messages to the UE, comprising: configuring a plurality of PUCCH resources; and identifying a plurality of spatial relationships associated with one or more reference signals transmitted by the UE or network node. The embodiments also include sending an additional control message to the UE, comprising: identifying a first spatial relationship from a plurality of spatial relationships; and indicating whether the first spatial relationship applies to one PUCCH resource of the configured PUCCH resources or at least one PUCCH resource group of the configured PUCCH resources. The exemplary embodiments also include complementary methods performed by the UEs as well as network nodes and UEs configured to perform the exemplary methods.

EFFECT: invention provides an efficient technology for signaling the spatial relationship for the resources of the physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), which will be used by the UE when interacting with the network node.
