FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: heat pipe of variable power is comprised of main elements including the body of the heat pipe, valves, a solution supply branch pipe, units for temperature control of the condensation and evaporation area with thermocouples, signal supply channels, a condensate collection tube, a level gauge, a condensate part collector, a heat pipe control unit, discharge channels, solution and condensate. The heat pipe is arbitrarily divided into three areas: an evaporation area, a condensation area and a transport area. The main idea of operation of the heat pipe consists in regulating the power of the heat pipe by means of changing the boiling point of the solution and the volume thereof in the evaporation area by adjusting the supply of condensate into the heat pipe, a fraction whereof can remain in the condensate part collector.
EFFECT: heat pipe can operate in manual and automatic modes.
