SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for the care of the oral cavity. Disclosed are a bristle of an oral care device and an oral care device having a lot of such bristles. The bristle may have a body extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. The body has a tapered portion having a cross-sectional profile with a perimeter defined by the first linear portion and the second linear portion that intersect to form the first vertex, the third linear portion, and the fourth linear portion that intersect to form the second vertex, the first curved portion extending between the first and third linear portions, and the second curved portion extending between the second and fourth linear portions. The body may also have a cylindrical body portion, whereby the tapered portion extends from the upper end of the cylindrical body portion. The bristle has a variety of edges and rounded contours for improved cleaning.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to make bristles for a toothbrush by means of injection molding, having an optimal shape both for cleaning and for extending the life of the bristles.
