FIELD: smoking industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of packaging a pack of tobacco products wrapped in a protective material (5) in a sheet cardboard material is presented. The paperboard material is folded by a packaging machine to form a bottom portion (3) containing the bundle and a lid (3) pivotable relative to the bottom portion (3) between open and closed positions. The cover (2) contains the front wall (11) and the valve (15) of the front wall of the cover, the rear side (16) of which adjoins the inner surface (17) of the front wall (11) of the cover, providing the possibility of gluing the label (9) passing over the generatrix opening (7) with a segment of protective material (5), to the front side (18) of said valve (15), so that when the cover (2) is pivoted to the open position, the segment rises, opening the opening (6). The method includes non-mechanical processing of the front side of the flap (15) of the front wall of the lid, bent and glued to the inner surface of the front wall of the lid, in order to increase the ability of the valve (15) of the front wall of the lid to absorb the adhesive used to adhere the label to the front side of this flap (15).

EFFECT: also described is a packaging machine for implementing this method and a package containing a pack of tobacco products wrapped in a protective material (5) and placed in a container formed from a sheet of folded cardboard material.
