FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of fuel combustion includes supplying a fuel, an oxidising agent, a non-fuel diluting agent and a heatable fluid medium. Interaction of the fuel with the oxidising agent in the presence of the diluting agent form a first heated fluid medium, wherein the diluting agent is introduced so as not to extinguish the combustion process and not to achieve an equilibrium state in the combustion area thereby increasing combustion efficiency. Forming a heated fluid medium by direct contact of the heatable fluid medium with the first heated fluid medium, wherein the heated fluid medium has a lower concentration of carbon monoxide, hydrogen and/or molecular oxygen than can be achieved by direct contact of the heatable fluid medium with the first heated fluid medium without diluting.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve the quality of fuel combustion.
