SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the supply of electrical energy to electric traction systems of vehicles. A system for supplying electrical energy to a mining vehicle contains a bipolar LVDC power source and a mining vehicle containing at least a first power unit and a second power unit. The bipolar LVDC power source has a specified total voltage and contains a positive pole, a negative pole, and a neutral point between the positive pole and the negative pole. The first power unit is connected between the positive pole and the neutral point, and the second power unit is connected between the negative pole and the neutral point. The bipolar LVDC power source contains the first converter and the second converter connected in series, with the neutral point placed between the first and second converters. A method for supplying electrical energy and a mining vehicle are also claimed.

EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of supplying high power at a moderate current.
