FIELD: radio communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communication and can be used when establishing a connection between a terminal and a base station. The terminal includes a receiving module configured to receive information indicating an available possible transmission interval for the random access channel, a control module configured to identify, based on said information, an available resource of the random access channel in the time domain and in the frequency domain, and a transmission module configured to transmit a random access preamble using said available random access channel resource, wherein the control module is configured to identify an available random access channel resource based on a factor initiating the random access operation.
EFFECT: performing a random access operation without possibility of collision by identifying a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource in the time domain or in the frequency domain that can be used by the terminal.
