SUBSTANCE: invention relates to appliances for vehicles. An indicator on the windshield for a vehicle contains a radiation source designed to emit p-polarized information radiation, a projection system designed to project p-polarized information radiation from the radiation source towards the vehicle's windshield, and a reflecting optical element facing the user's side of the vehicle. The reflecting optical element is designed to reflect into the user's field of view p-polarized information radiation projected by the projection system with a wavelength in one or more selected ranges, while the information radiation projected by the projection system falls on the reflecting optical element at an angle approximately equal to the Brewster angle. The projection system contains at least one p-polarizer designed to absorb s-polarized radiation and project p-polarized radiation onto a reflecting optical element, with one or more ranges of p-polarized information radiation reflected into the user's field of view corresponding to a part of at least one of the red spectrum, green spectrum, and blue spectrum.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the quality and visibility of the image formed on the indicator on the windscreen.
