FIELD: glasses.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an eyeglass frame with a lens protection against impact or friction when folded, in particular to an eyeglass frame that can provide perfect protection for lenses when the glasses are not worn and are folded on the support surface without being placed in the case. The claimed eyeglass frame contains a frame, invertible earpiece (5) and second earpiece (4), each of which is connected to the frame by means of corresponding pivot (6) with the possibility of rotating invertible earpiece (5) and second earpiece (4) from the working position, in which the earpieces are placed substantially perpendicular to the frame when wearing glasses, to the non-working position, in which the earpieces are placed substantially parallel to the eyeglass frame when not using glasses. Invertible earpiece (5) and second earpiece (4) each have an end section curved downwards, while the frame contains two rims (2, 3) to hold the lenses and, possibly, bridge (1) connecting the rims. In addition, there is a rotary means for rotating invertible earpiece (5) and corresponding pivot (6) around inverted axis (9), which is essentially parallel to the frame. Invertible earpiece (5) and second earpiece (4) are pivotally attached at the upper edge of rims (2, 3). Inverted axis (9) has predetermined slope (α) with respect to straight line (10) passing through the two centers of rims (2, 3), which has a value in the range from 2.5° to 25°, while the value of the slope (α) of inverted axis (9) is selected within the range of values so that invertible earpiece (5), when it is inverted by 180°, and then when it is folded into a non-working position around its hinge, completely covers rim (2, 3) of the frame with its end section.
EFFECT: provision of an eyeglass frame, which in a very simple and immediate way eliminates the risk of damage to the lenses when the glasses are folded on the support plane, and has innovative characteristics regardless of the frame material and regardless of the specific model of glasses.
