FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to products made of wrought aluminium 7xxx alloys. A 7xxx aluminium alloy plate contains, wt.%: 0.080 to 0.250 Cr, 6.0 to 10.0 Zn, 1.3 to 2.3 Mg, 1.2 to 2.6 Cu, up to 0.50 Mn, up to 0.15 Zr, up to 0.15 Ti, up to 0.15 Si, up to 0.15 Fe, aluminium and impurities the rest. Any impurity is contained in an amount of no more than 0.05 wt.% with a total impurity content of no more than 0.15 wt.%. Therein, Cr(min) ≤ Cr ≤ Cr(max), where Cr(min)=0.251 to 0.082(Mg), wherein Cr(min) ≥ 0.080 and Cr(max)=0.351 to 0.082(Mg), wherein Cr(max) ≤ 0.25. The plate is produced by rolling, extrusion or forging with a nominal thickness of 101.6 to 304.8 mm.
EFFECT: increased resistance to crack curving, strength, fracture toughness and corrosion resistance are ensured.
