FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a dosing element for application with an inhaler. The dosing element includes at least one biologically active substance released by evaporation. The dosing element is comprised of a plate containing a solid carrier material. The biologically active substance is located in the carrier material and/or on said material. The apparatus includes an air-permeable electrically resistive heating element in thermal contact with said plate. The carrier material is characterised by a sufficiently low electrical conductivity to avoid a current being passed through the material instead of said electrically resistive heating element. The carrier material is stable and inert at the evaporation temperature of the biologically active substance.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is controlled and reproducible delivery of a predetermined amount of an isolated vaporable biologically active substance by inhalation.
