FIELD: packaging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to packaging products, particularly to plastic containers with an upper opening for extracting the contents, particularly, a food product. The container (1) is comprised of a hollow plastic body (3) produced by blow moulding. The body (3) has a bottom (4) and an annular side wall (30) extending longitudinally from the annular base to the top (31). A thin flexible cover (20), manufacturable of foil or another suitable material, closes and seals the wide upper opening (O1) of the container, constituting the only opening of the hollow body made of thermoplastic material so that the side wall, the bottom and the annular top flange (5) are a single part. The top (31) is connected with the outer edge (5a) of the annular upper flange. The upper flange (5) protrudes radially inward and defines an opening (O1) by the inner edge (5b). The cover (20) is glued axially to the upper surface of the flange and can be peeled by using, if required, a tearable tab (PT) extending beyond the outer edge (5a). Excluding the area of the tearable tab, the annular outer edge (20b) of the cover extends parallel to the outer edge (5a) by no more than 1.0 to 2.9 mm beyond the outer edge (5a).

EFFECT: provided is packaging applicable for storing food products.
