FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a catalyst for the ethyl alcohol dehydrogenation having a chemical composition of 5% of Cu / 95% of a mixture of zirconium, yttrium and ytterbium oxides (wt.%) containing 96.5% of ZrO2, 2.7% of Yb2O3, 0.8% of Y2O3 (mol.%). The method includes co-precipitation of zirconium oxychloride salt with ytterbium nitrate and yttrium chloride salts at a concentration of 1 mole/l in the presence of an ammonia solution with a concentration of 6 mole/l with the addition of 0.05% of polyvinylpyrrolidone solution, separation of the precipitate and its drying at a temperature of 180°C, introduction of 5 wt. % of Cu2+ by impregnating the dry precipitate from the previous stage with an aqueous solution of copper (II) chloride, movement of the catalyst powder to the reactor for heat treatment, including heating the catalyst powder to 400°С, treating the heated catalyst at a liquid nitrogen temperature of -195.75°С, reheating the catalyst to 400°C and its reduction in a hydrogen current with a pressure of 0.3 MPa for 1 hour at a temperature of 400°С immediately before the ethanol catalytic conversion.
EFFECT: production of a highly selective ethanol dehydrogenation catalyst that does not undergo coke formation during the reaction.
