FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of catalysts, namely to selective oxidation catalysts intended for oxidation of primary alcohols to aldehydes. The group of inventions describes: a catalyst for selective oxidation of primary alcohols to aldehydes, including porous material as a nitroxyl radical carrier and a nitroxyl radical as an active component, different in that the carrier is porous material based on ZIF-8 metal-organic frame, and the nitroxyl radical is not covalently cross-linked to the carrier, while an average diameter of pores of the metal-organic frame is 0.34-0.75 nm, which is less than a critical diameter of active components molecules, a number of which is from 1 to 650 mcmol/g, a catalyst preparation method, and a method for selective oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes in the presence of a heterogenous catalyst.
EFFECT: implementation of the group of inventions provides an improved heterogenous catalyst for selective oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes.
