FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of materials based on zirconium dioxide stabilized in a tetragonal form. These materials can be used for the manufacturing products for structural and medical purposes, in particular, restorations in prosthetic dentistry. The ceramic material based on a charge having a chemical composition (wt%) Yb2O3 8,45÷9,15, Nd2O3 0,05÷0,55, Al2O3 0,4÷4,0, the remaining part ZrO2, contains a complex oxide solid solution Zr1-n[YbNd]nO2 and corundum micro-phase. The method of producing the ceramic material includes reverse deposition with ammonia solution with the following elements being present: 0.1% aqueous starch solution, mixture of one-molar solutions of zirconium oxychloride salts, ytterbium , neodymium and aluminum nitrates, which are in an equilibrium state, achieved at a pH value of 0,4÷0,6; drying, xerogel deagglomeration, heat treatment at a temperature of 800 °С. The obtained charge is processed in a planetary mill; the work pieces are pressed and sintered under continuous heating exposure at a final temperature of 1500 °C.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is producing initial powders with increased fluidity and ceramic material with color characteristics (color, saturation and lightness) close to natural teeth, having high parameters of fracture toughness and strength, the values whereof are stable under impact of factors corresponding to a long stay in vivo.
