FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method for management of dandelion and Sosnowsky's hogweed is characterised by the fact that electrochemical impact is achieved using a pair of metal electrodes, a copper one and a zinc one, short-circuited with each other, wherein the copper electrode is introduced through the lower part of the plant stem into the upper part of the root, the zinc electrode is introduced into the soil near the plant, resulting in a closed electric circuit being formed, wherein a galvanic current flows through said circuit, occurring due to dissolution of more electronegative zinc, wherein the depolarisation process on the copper surface follows the mechanism with oxygen depolarisation as follows: O2+2H2O+4e=4OH-, causing alkalisation of the near-electrode space and a fatal impact on living tissues.
EFFECT: invention allows to develop a method for weed management which excludes application of chemicals.
