FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: heat storage device relates to the field of heat engineering, more specifically to heat storage devices that use the latent heat of phase transitions of the working substance to provide the required thermal regime of thermal energy sources during their cyclic operation, as well as their protection from short-term effects of external heat flows. The device contains a case 1 having cavities filled with a heat-storage phase-transition working substance 5, a plate 2, a cover 3 and a block of grids 4 rigidly attached to a plate 2, and two sources of thermal energy 1. In the design of the case 1, to enhance heat transfer to the heat storage substance 5, a block is used from a set of metal meshes 4 made of highly heat-conducting materials, for example, copper, located perpendicular to the heat-generating surface of the case 2 and fixed on it.
EFFECT: invention improves efficiency of heat transfer from the plate to the heat storage substance, improves the mass and size characteristics of the device, which is especially important for onboard equipment, maintains a constant value of enthalpy from cycle to cycle, increases reliability and technological simplicity of manufacturing.
