FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. The fuel system is designed for an engine with compression ignition and contains a fuel tank (1) with a mixture of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and a starting dose of diesel fuel, filters (2) and (5) for fine and coarse cleaning, an electric pump (3), a high-pressure fuel pump (9) and injectors (8) for supplying mixed fuel directly to the cylinder. The fuel tank (1) is made of a closed type in the form of a gas cylinder for LPG with a multi-valve. The process of filling the fuel tank (1) takes place in two stages. First, the required amount of diesel fuel is poured into the tank (1) and the tank is closed. The LPG tank (1) is filled through the multi-valve. The mixture of LPG and the ignition dose of diesel fuel is 80-85%/15-20%. An electric pump (3) maintains a pressure in the system above the pressure of saturated propane vapors.
EFFECT: reduction of the ratio of diesel fuel and carbon emissions into the atmosphere during combustion.
